County, PG&E, Proteus Offer Energy Workshop in Waukena

Waukena residents are invited to attend an informational workshop aimed to educate them of no-cost and low-cost programs that will lower their energy bill.

The workshop is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10 at Waukena Elementary School, located at 19113 Rd. 28, Tulare, CA 93274. The workshop is being offered by Tulare County, Pacific Gas & Electric, and Proteus, Inc.

“A penny saved, is a penny earned,” said Pete Vander Poel Chairman of the Board of Supervisors. “I would like to encourage all residents interested in saving money on their energy bills to attend this informational session and learn more about various programs available.”

In addition to learning about energy savings, community service providers will also be in attendance to provide information about other programs available in the community.

Participants will be provided refreshments and each household in attendance will receive a Home First Aid Kit.
