Tulare County and Friant Water Authority Issue Joint Statement

The County of Tulare, with assistance from the Friant Water Authority, continue to work collaboratively to identify the cause of the flooding in Strathmore over the weekend.  The County is committed to identifying solutions and working with the Friant Water Authority, as needed, so that a similar situation does not occur in the future.  The County’s emergency response over the weekend and Friant Water Authority’s willingness to allow use of their facilities to move the water provided a rapid resolution and curtailed damages for residents.

“Once again, our first responders protected our community and I am extremely grateful for their efforts.  Friant Water Authority has been a great partner assisting with the incident.  I am committed to finding and implementing solutions to mitigate this type of event from occurring again.”  Chairman of the Tulare County Board of Supervisors and Strathmore resident, Kuyler Crocker.
