"The TCAG delegation will meet this morning with Congressman Devin Nunes, who will provide an overview of current legislative issues. We will also talk about building continued support in Washington for funding to widen Highway 99. The TCAG delegation will also meet with Senator Barbara Boxer and her senior staff to talk about appropriations for transportation projects and the next Stimulus Bill.

"Then we will meet with the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee to discuss short haul rail and good movement, and the next Transportation Bill. Afterward we meet with Congressman Jim Costa to talk about Highway 99 widening, the Stimulus Bill, and the potential for short haul rail between Tulare and Fresno counties.

On Thursday we will meet in Congressman George Radanovich's office to discuss short haul rail, air quality funding, Highway 99 funding, and traffic congestion mitigation.

"We also plan to talk with legislators about building infrastructure for alternative-fueled heavy vehicles, and funding to replace heavy vehicles."
