National Weather Service issues weather advisories for Tulare County

The National Weather Service has recently issued several weather products for areas within Tulare County.

- A Flood Watch is currently in effect throughout the Southern Sierras due to rapid snowmelt and potential flooding along hiking trails, campgrounds and smaller back roads. 

- A Flood Advisory is in effect for areas immediately along the Kings River due to high river flows and flooding.

- A Special Weather Statement is in effect for the Tulare County Foothills due to record high temperatures.

Although temperatures are high this week, Tulare County is still currently in the Phase 1 Seasonal Readiness phase of our Excessive Heat Plan.
