The Tulare County Employment Connection will host the 20th Annual Tulare County Career Fair on Wednesday, September 28, 2011. The Career Fair is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will be held at the Visalia Holiday Inn and Conference Center.
Businesses and organizations from throughout the Central Valley will have booths and employment information at the Career Fair. Attending the Career Fair gives job seekers the opportunity to discuss their qualifications and experience with local employers. Interviews can be held on the spot while at the Career Fair. Job seekers are encouraged to wear professional attire and bring multiple copies of their resume.
In addition to interacting with businesses and organizations, the Tulare County Career Fair will also offer career readiness courses. Attendees will be able to participate in speed interviews, have their resume reviewed and take part in a mock interview. Job seekers will also have the opportunity to network with job placement organizations and educational institutions.
“The Tulare County Career Fair is the largest in the area and is a great setting for job seekers and employers to interact with each other,” said Dave Hawkes, manager of the Porterville Employment Connection. “This year’s fair has a wide variety of businesses, organizations and training services available to attendees.”
The Career Fair is free to all participants. For questions or more information, contact the Visalia Employment Connection at (559) 713-5000.
