The Tulare County Library’s latest speaker in the “Getting to Know” series is a true “Giant” in Tulare County education.
College of the Sequoias Superintendent/President Stan Carrizosa will be speaking at 6:30 p.m. on April 24 at the Visalia Branch of the Tulare County Library.
Carrizosa was raised in Dinuba, graduating from Dinuba High School. He received his Masters Degree in Education Administration from Fresno Pacific University. Besides being a teacher, coach and principal at schools primarily in the Central Valley, he has served as superintendent for the Dinuba and Visalia Unified School Districts. After a short term as superintendent at Burbank Unified School District, he returned to Visalia two years ago to be superintendent of the College of Sequoias, taking on accreditation challenges, and has succeeded in getting COS back on track to full accreditation.
This is the fourth program in the 'Getting to Know…' series at the Tulare County Library, which is designed to give the people of Visalia and surrounding areas an opportunity to get to know the people and issues affecting them. These programs are free to the public and all are welcome to attend. For more information, please call (559) 713-2703 or go to: www.tularecountylibrary.org.
