Residents, businesses, and government agencies who want to know more about how to prevent and protect themselves from cyber crimes are invited to attend a tech fair in Visalia.
The Tulare County Information & Communications Technology Department (TCiCT) is hosting its annual tech fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday at the Visalia Convention Center. Registration will open at 9:30 a.m.
The theme for this year's fair is security and is setup to be the biggest one yet, with more than 25 vendors, a Digital Photo Contest Display, and security demos. TCiCT will offer attendees many opportunities to increase their cyber security knowledge from a work and personal level.
All Tulare County employees are invited to attend along with surrounding cities, counties, educational institutions, and others. Several workshops will be offered this year. TC Teaming, a collaborative training and a Cyber Security workshop with both morning and afternoon sessions. The State of California Department of Technology will be stopping at the Tech Fair as part of their CALNET 3 tour to showcase contract changes from CALNET 2 to CALNET 3.
The Tulare County Board of Supervisors and Tulare County Information & Communications Technology Department (TCiCT) have declared January 2014 Cyber Security Awareness Month in Tulare County in conjunction with the Third Annual TCiCT Tech Fair.
