The Richgrove Community Services District was successful in acquiring a Prop. 84 Park Grant from the California State Department of Parks and Recreation. Several community meetings were conducted to get their input on developing a park.
The approved plan is a 12 acre site; approximately 7 acres will be developed to include a skate park, athletic fields and courts, and family centered features. The remaining acres will be targeted for community gardens or future park features.
Richgrove community members, Richgrove Elementary School District Superintendent Frank Chavez and several Tulare County employees and officials attended the joyous ceremony.
