The Tulare County Board of Supervisors is seeking qualified individuals to serve on the San Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution Control District Citizens Advisory Committee filling two current environmental vacancies, one primary member and one alternate member.
The Citizen’s Advisory Committee was formed by the San Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution Control District for the purpose of facilitating public input relating to the actions and decisions of the Air District. The committee consists of 24 primary and 24 alternate members representing agriculture, environmental and city interests groups from eight San Joaquin Valley counties.
The Board of Supervisors will appoint a member to represent Tulare County in the environmental position on the Citizen’s Advisory Committee, and an alternate member. Anyone interested in serving must be a resident of Tulare County and be a representative of a recognized environmental interest group. Meetings occur on the first Tuesday of each month (except for July and November) at 10:00 a.m. and run until noon at the District office in Fresno.
