Interested in becoming a U.S. Citizen? Tulare County Library invites you to citizenship information workshops at our branch libraries in May. Short presentations will be held primarily in Spanish and/or in English, depending upon the first choice of language for those in attendance. Participants will learn about the requirements and process to become a U.S. citizen.
Participants will also receive study materials to prepare for the citizenship exam. After the presentations, participants will sit one-on-one with an attorney, or paralegal, to see if they are eligible for assistance in filling out their naturalization application. To participate in the one-on-one session, participants will need to bring their green card, ID card and, if applicable, provide any court dispositions.
