Tulare County and city elected officials and senior staff have traveled to Washington, D.C. to advocate for federal funding and support for projects and issues that affect Tulare County residents. Meetings already scheduled. Others still being arranged.

Congressman Devin Nunes’ Office; meeting with Legislative Director & senior House staff

  • Overview of current progress toward developing the 6-year Federal Transportation Bill
  • Status of Tulare County-related transportation appropriation requests
  • Preparation for the delegation’s scheduled meetings

Surface Transportation Board; meeting with senior staff and STB attorney
Longworth Building

  • Clarify Federal Trade Commission transportation project noticing requirements/procedures
  • Status of rail abandonment

TCAG delegation and Tulare County delegation both attending
