Tulare County Museum to Feature "The African American Experience in Tulare County"

County officials will host a reception celebrating the opening an exhibit that features "The African American Experience in Tulare County." This free event will be held from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 13 from at the Tulare County Museum of Farm Labor and Agriculture at Mooney Grove Park in Visalia.
 
The museum will feature "Allensworth: 100 years of the California Dream" courtesy of the California African American Museum in Los Angeles. A video presentation on the topic will be shown in the museum's learning center. The reception program will include a gospel choir performance as well as a performance by an African drum soloist. There will also be a reading of African American poetry, and refreshments will be served
