National Voter Registration Day is Sept. 24

Tulare County Registrar of Voters, Rita A. Woodard, would like to remind residents that September 24, 2013 is National Voter Registration Day.

Voter registration cards are available at libraries, Post Offices and the Department of Motor Vehicles throughout Tulare County. Interested residents can also visit the Elections Office at 5951 S. Mooney Blvd. and pick up a registration card.

The League of Women Voters will be helping community members register to vote at two different locations on National Voter Registration Day. They will be at the Visalia Mall from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and at Food Maxx located at 1550 N. Ben Maddox Ave. in Visalia from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m..

If you have changed your address, changed your name or want to change your political party preference you need to reregister to vote.
